Next Steps

Congratulations on receiving a 2021 Research Workshop Grant! If you intend to hold your workshop during the upcoming ISA 2021 VIRTUAL Annual Convention please reach out to Lembe Tiky. We will work with you to create an online platform for your event.

Please SKIP Step One and Step Two below: take care of the Step three, Step Four & Step Five only.

Follow the steps below to ensure you have a successful workshop. If you intend to hold your workshop at a time/location other than the ISA Annual Convention, skip Steps 1-3.

Step One: Fill out the Workshop Meeting Room Reservation Form

Please fill out the following form by October 15, 2019 in order to reserve your meeting room and make the necessary arrangements. Our meeting rooms fill quickly, and we fill rooms on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's important to make your reservation as early as possible.

Step Two: Share hotel reservation information with your participants

Participants can reserve their hotel rooms through the main ISA hotel reservation site. These are limited, so you should recommend that your participants make their hotel reservations as quickly as possible.

Step Three: Convention Registration

Participants must also register for the Annual Convention. Please ensure all participants are registered before the pre-registration deadline, October 23, 2019. Participants can register here:

Step Four: ISA Membership

In order to receive reimbursement, workshop participants must be ISA members within two weeks of grant award date. Memberships must remain current at least through a month following the workshop. Please ask your participants to verify their membership status through their ISA profiles, or here:

Step Five: After Your Workshop

Following the conclusion of your workshop, you will need to collect the receipts from each participant in order to process reimbursements. Each participant can use the Reimbursement Cover Sheet to organize their receipts and send them to you. Please send these as a single pdf to isa@isanet.org within a month following the convention, along with your final report (detailing your budget expenses, a description of how the workshop went, and future publication plans).

 

Each participant will also need to check their ISA profile and ensure the accuracy of their contact information, particularly their postal and email address. We will reimburse participants via PayPal, through the following process:

  1. Workshop participants from North American can be reimbursed by checks.
  2. Non-north American workshop participants will receive an email from PayPal with a step by step instruction process on how to receive the funds.
  3. They will then login with their PayPal account information (or) create an account (this process is free and only takes a few minutes).
  4. Once signed in, each participant simply needs to click the link to withdraw their funds. They need to withdraw their funds within 30 days of receiving the initial email.
  5. After clicking the withdraw link, they will receive the funds in their bank accounts within 1-2 business days.
