ISS Distinguished Scholar Award

The Intelligence Studies Section Distinguished Scholar Award recognizes a distinguished record in publishing and service to ISA by a scholar whose work has made substantial impact in the area of intelligence studies.

  1. Recipients must be current members of ISA and should have a substantial record of publishing in the field and service to ISA.
  • The recipient will receive a certificate.
  • Award will be presented at the ISS Distinguished Scholar Reception at the ISA Annual Convention.
  • Nominations will be considered by the full Distinguished Scholar Award Committee.
  • Nominations may be submitted by any member of the Intelligence Studies Section, and should be accompanied by a short letter of justification (not more than one page, the letter can take the form of an email), and the nominee’s CV, if available.
  • Self-nominations are very welcome.
  • Candidates nominated for this award previously are still considered to be in contention and do not need to be re-nominated, but the committee would welcome receiving an up-to-date CV.
  • Nominations should be sent to the chair of the award committee, Eliza Gheorghe, by May 15.
