FPA Distinguished Scholar Award

This award was created by the FPA Section to honor outstanding scholarship in foreign policy analysis. The award is given each year at the Annual Convention.

General Information

Recipients must meet the Following Criteria

  1. Recipients must be a current member of ISA.
  2. As a general guideline, nominees should have a substantial record of publishing in the field and service to the FPA Section.
  3. Self-nominations are welcome.

Prize

  • The distinguished scholar will be honored at a reception at the Annual Convention where he or she will be presented with a plaque.

Selection Process

  • The recipient will be selected by the Section's six-member Executive Council. A panel highlighting the distinguished scholar's contributions to the field of foreign policy analysis and the broader profession will be organized for the meeting in Baltimore.

  • Nominations should include a letter of support and the nominee's C.V.
  • Self-nominations are welcome.
  • As a general guideline, nominees should have a substantial record of publishing in the field and service to the section.
  • Please send nominations via email to the Award Committee Chair- Timothy M. Peterson by no later than May 17th.
