A Message from FTGS: Tribute to Lily Ling

At last year’s ISA meeting in San Francisco, the Feminist Theory and Gender Studies section honored Professor LHM (Lily) Ling with FTGS’s Eminent Scholar Award. Today, sadly, we mourn Professor Ling’s passing. It is a sad day for our community, and a great loss to the International Relations community as a whole. See more here.

A Message from HR Section: Tribute to Chandra Sriram

The human rights community has lost a trailblazing scholar, citizen of the world, and dear friend - Chandra Sriram. Twice chair of the ISA Human Rights Section, she tirelessly traveled the globe in pursuit of peace and justice and illuminated every gathering with style and mordant wit. See more here.

Reminder to Section/Caucus Chairs: Submit Award Recipients by November 1

Please be sure to submit your award recipients to Giulianna Franchetti no later than November 1 to ensure that there is enough time to have award material created and so that recipients are included in the printed program.

Deadline Extension: J. Ann Tickner Award

The Tickner award was established in 2011 to recognize J. Ann Tickner for her pathbreaking role within the International Studies Association and in the discipline of International Relations more generally.
