ISA Officer Election

ISA announces the start of elections for our new officers, including the President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer and At-Large Representatives to ISA's Governing Council. The ISA officer election for the 2018-2019 term opened November 5th and will close on December 5th. ISA's Constitution requires a 15% turnout in order for the election to be valid.

Our thanks to all who participated in the student-led interviews that took place at ISA 2016 in Atlanta. We'll be working with the Digital Media and Design student team to release a few videos each month as the Program Teamis busy finalizing the Baltimore Program. Check out the DMD team's first interview, get excited about #ISA2017, and make plans to participate in the interviews onsite in Baltimore!

Convention News

ISA 2017 Withdrawal Deadline

The deadline to withdraw from the ISA 2017 program is November 18, 2016. Participants who withdraw after this deadline will be penalized by not being allowed to participate on the ISA 2018 program.

Travel Grant Recipient Information

REMINDER - All ISA 2017 Travel Grant recipients must submit convention travel receipts to no later than February 1, 2017. Types of receipts eligible for reimbursement include transportation, accomodations, and meals.

ISA 2017 Childcare Services

ISA offers daily childcare services for ISA members at the ISA 2017 Convention. Childcare is provided by Kiddie Corp, and all children must be pre-registered.

ISA West is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Ole R. Holsti Award. Recipients must be a current member of ISA and must be able to attend the ISA West regional conference September 22nd and 23rd, 2017. The deadline for nominations is December 1, 2016.

Edward Said Award: TWQ / Global Development Studies Graduate Paper

The Global Development Studies (GDS) Section in collaboration with Third World Quarterly are delighted to announce the second instance of the Edward Said Award for the best Graduate Paper. The deadline for applications is January 13, 2017.

Meet your ISA:
Global Health Studies Section (GHS)

The goals of the ISA Global Health Section are to: 1) strengthen and enhance the profile of global health scholarship within the discipline; 2) make IR the first discipline to provide this multidisciplinary field a formal basis to develop and grow in the years ahead; and also 3) enable the global health movement to benefit from the unique perspectives that international relations and international studies can bring to bear on it.
