ISA Special Projects Pilot Program

Each year, ISA HQ receives a variety of proposals, outside the current ISA funding streams, that ask for project support and make a financial request. At the 2016 Governing Council Meeting, a one-year pilot program was approved to assemble and evaluate any such proposals. The deadline for submissions is August 1, 2016.

Call for Officer Nominations

The ISA Nominating Committee invites nominations for offices of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and At-Large Representative for 2018-2019. ISA seeks candidates with professional distinction and past involvement in (and knowledge of) ISA, and is strongly committed to diversity in its officers. The nomination deadline is June 15, 2016.

The International Studies Association invites applications to participate in "ISA at UNAI", a joint program between ISA and the United Nations Academic Impact office. To participate, members are invited to suggest a discussion theme and the names of three to five ISA members interested in participating.

Annual Convention 2017 Call for Proposals

ISA is pleased to announce our Call for Proposals for our 2017 Annual Convention in Baltimore, Maryland, USA! We invite paper, panel and roundtable submissions related to all areas of international studies and world politics. Particularly welcome are submissions related to our 2017 convention theme, Understanding Change in World Politics. Proposal submissions are now open and the proposal submission deadline is June 1, 2016.

ISA 2017 Specialty Programs

ISA offers a number of specialty programs during the Annual Convention. These special events are intended to add variety and new opportunities for our participants. In 2017 we will offer a number of Innovative Panels, Career Courses, Research Workshop Grants, Working Groups and the Pay it Forward Mentoring Program that we hope will be of interest to our convention participants.
