Following on the very successful event held at the UN in January 2015, ISA invites applications to participate in "ISA at UNAI", a joint program between ISA and the United Nations Academic Impact office. This program provides a forum for the sharing of ideas, in an informal and off-the-record setting, between ISA members and their counterparts at the United Nations.

Convention Updates

ISA 2016 Paper Archive - Last Chance

ISA policy requires a paper to be uploaded no later than five business days before the conference. If you haven't already, please upload your paper as soon as possible in order to give your discussant time to read your work. Note that ISA only accepts PDF files less than 10mb in size.

ISA 2016 Travel Grant Distribution

ISA 2016 Travel Grant recipients: Remember to check in with the Travel Grant area at the conference in order to receive your funds! Failure to check in at the Travel Grant area during these assigned times may result in forfeiture of travel funds.

ISA 2016 Highlights

We've been working hard here at ISA to put on our best convention yet. As a part of that, we have a number of special events and activities taking place, in addition to our many great panels and roundtables. We're excited about our Sapphire Series, as well as our many Professional Development and Innovative Panels, and we hope you'll join us for the President's Address & Reception on Thursday evening. We also have a few Film Screenings, Distinguished Scholar Panels, and, for students and recent graduates, the Junior Scholar Reception. Check out these specialty sessions and more!

Call for Participation: GSCIS Dialogue

ISA and the Global South Caucus (GSC) wish to invite participation in the “ISA Global South Caucus Dialogue” to be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the Annual Convention in Atlanta. This dialogue will address the GSC’s emphasis on raising the profile and involvement of scholars and scholarship from the Global South in the work of the ISA.

CEEISA-ISA Pre-Registration Deadline

The CEEISA-ISA conference will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia from June 23-25, 2016. In order to confirm participation on the program, participants must register by March 10, 2016. Special registration discounts are offered for CEEISA and ISA members.

ISA-ICOMM On-Site Registration

The ISA-ICOMM conference will take place in Atlanta, GA on March 15, 2016. On-site registration is available during the day of the conference.

ISA-CISS Pre-Registration Deadline

The ISA-CISS conference will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece from June 13-15, 2016. In order to confirm participation on the program, participants must register by March 31, 2016.

ISA Asia-Pacific Program

ISA Asia-Pacific is excited to announce their program before the end of the week. The ISA Asia-Pacific conference, which will take place in Hong Kong on June 25-27, 2016. Participants on the program must register by April 15, 2016.

Each year ISA presents a number of awards at the Annual Convention. In addition to these, our sub-groups (regions, sections, caucuses) also present their own awards at their business meetings or conferences during the year. ISA is pleased to announces the winners of the ISA-sponsored awards.

GDS Graduate Paper Prize

The Global Development Section (GDS) is delighted that the GDS Section Graduate Paper Prize will be inaugurated at the ISA 2016 Atlanta Convention! The winner will be announced at the GDS Section Reception (From 19:00 on Friday, Hilton, Grand Ballroom B).
