Convention Updates

WiFI Access and Limitations for #ISA2019

ISA is very pleased to announce that in addition to providing wifi in the Exhibit Hall, we will also be providing basic internet access in all meeting rooms in Toronto. Please note, however, that the only areas that will support streaming are the Exhibit Hall and Cyber Cafe during the hours they are open.

ISA is grateful to Oxford University Press and Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, Stanford University for co-sponsoring this new offering for our attendees. The code to access WiFi at the ISA 2019 Convention is "isa2019" (all lowercase).

Additionally, ISA has a few laptops available across from the Grand Ballroom at the Sheraton. Pay-for-use workstations are available in the business centers of the Hilton and Sheraton hotels. To purchase or use internet in your guestroom, follow the instructions posted in your room. Note that guestroom internet does not transfer to the meting spaces.

Again, pleaase note: this Convention internet service will not support remote video use, like Skype, in meeting rooms. Neither ISA nor its AV partners provide support, sound, microphones, etc. for any sort of video conferencing capabilities under any circumstances. The band-width of the in-house wifi cannot accommodate video. If you have prearranged using video or web connections, the internet will be strong enough for those events.

Reserve your hotel early!

Be sure to make your Toronto hotel reservations today. The Sheraton Toronto and the Hilton Toronto are our co-Headquarters hotels, and both will be hosting panels, meetings, and receptions. Please note that ISA's group rates at any of our website hotels expires on March 4 or when hotel block is full, whichever comes first. For hotel and travel information see: https://www.isanet.org/Conferences/Toronto-2019/Travel/Hotels.
