ISA Officer Election Results

Thank you to all who participated in the recent election for the 2020-2021 ISA Governing Council Officer Election. The election was held Monday, November 5 through Wednesday, December 5, 2018 through ISA's online voting system. We are pleased to announce the newly elected officers for the 2020-2021 term:

Call for Proposals: ISA Accra 2019

ISA is pleased to announce our Call for Proposals for the 2019 International Conference at the University of Ghana in Accra, Ghana! The deadline for paper/panel submissions is January 21, 2019. New Series in the Professional Resource Center

Broadening Engagements with International Affairs is an interview series hosted by the ISA Professional Resource Center and written by ISA James N. Rosenau Post-Doctoral Fellow Jamie J. Hagen. For more information please see our Professional Resource Center for full details.


Call for Applications: ISA Special Project Grants

Each year, ISA HQ receives a variety of proposals, outside the current ISA funding mechanisms, that ask for project support and make a financial request. During its 2017 meeting in Baltimore, the Governing Council renewed the special project grants program; proposals for funding are accepted from members and sections/regions/caucuses. On Thursday, 25 April 2019 at 3:00pm, the ISA and the United Nations will sponsor an open forum on the topic “South-South cooperation and the UN Development System: Complement, competitor, role model, or threat?” This event is part of a series being cosponsored by the ISA and United Nations Academic Impact, leading up to the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations. Childcare Services at #ISA2019

ISA is pleased to continue our partnership with Kiddie Corp at the 2019 Annual Convention in Toronto, Ontario. Submit an application soon because KiddieCorp is filling up quickly!


ISA Cabaret is back for Toronto!

ISA's version of an "open mic." Come join the audience to hear the hidden talents of your colleagues! Or you can perform - you're welcome to borrow a guitar. Call for Proposals: ISA Asia-Pacific Singapore 2019

We are pleased to invite proposals for papers, panels, and roundtables for the ISA Asia-Pacific 2019 Conference, taking place at Nanyang Technological University. The conference will be held July 4-6, 2019 at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. The deadline for paper and panel submissions for the Asia-Pacific 2019 conference is February 8, 2019. PEACE-PHS Kent 2019: Call for Proposals

We are pleased to invite proposals for papers, panels, and roundtables for the PEACE-PHS Joint Conference 2019, taking place at Kent State University. The conference will be held October 24-26, 2019 at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, USA. The deadline for paper and panel submissions for the PEACE-PHS 2019 conference is February 15, 2019. Diplomatic Studies Section Awards
