ISA Officer Election Results

Thank you to all who participated in the recent election for the 2017-2018 ISA Governing Council Officer Election. The election was held November 5 - December 5, 2016 through ISA's online voting system. We are pleased to announce the newly elected officers for the 2018-2019 term:

Our thanks to all who participated in the student-led interviews that took place at ISA 2016 in Atlanta. We'll be working with the Digital Media and Design student team to release a few videos each month as the Program Team is busy finalizing the Baltimore Program. Make Your Hotel Reservation Today!

The Renaissance Baltimore has lowered its double rate, applicable to new and existing reservations (there is no need to contact ISA or the hotel for the rate change to be applied to current reservations). Book your hotel room soon - the Renaissance is filling quickly!

ISA 2017 is one of the primary places for early career scholars and professionals to deepen their knowledge of international studies, expand their networks, showcase their research and learn some tools of the trade. Travel Grant Recipient Information

REMINDER - All ISA 2017 Travel Grant recipients must submit convention travel receipts to no later than February 1, 2017. Types of receipts eligible for reimbursement include transportation and accommodations.

ISA 2017 Childcare Services

ISA offers daily childcare services for ISA members at the ISA 2017 Convention. Childcare is provided by Kiddie Corp, and all children must be pre-registered.

ISA Cabaret in Baltimore!

The ISA Cabaret -- an open mic of musical or other performances -- returns for the Baltimore convention. The Cabaret will take place on Friday from 8-11 pm in Holiday 3 in the Hilton. Come hear the hidden talents of your colleagues (and maybe your ISA Executive Director) or volunteer for a brief performance slot; there will even be a guitar on hand for you to borrow. If you'd like to sign up in advance to perform, or would like more information, contact Beth DeSombre.

Hong Kong 2017 Program Announced!

ISA and HKU are delighted to announce our 2017 Preliminary Program. The Hong Kong 2017 Conference will be held at the Hong Kong University, in Hong Kong, China on June 15-18, 2017. Participants on the program must confirm their placement by registering for the conference by January 20th. We look forward to seeing everyone in Hong Kong!

The Women’s Caucus (WCIS) invites nominations (and self-nominations) for FOUR open positions on the WCIS Executive Council. The deadline for receiving nominations is December 20, 2016.

The Diplomatic Studies Section is pleased to announce the call for nominations for two of the section's awards: DPLST Young Scholar Award and DPLST Article Award. The deadline for nominations for both awards is December 31, 2016.

The United States Institute of Peace, in conjunction with the ISA, is proud to announce the second annual Peace Dissertation Prize to be given for the best peace studies dissertation. The deadline for nominations is January 2, 2017.

Historical International Relations Section (HIST)

The purposes of the HIST are to: 1. promote the exchange of ideas among HIST-interested scholars across both disciplinary and international boundaries; 2. support a scholarly community and promote HIST-related studies; 3. facilitate networking and cooperation among scholars and students working on Historical International Relations. 4. strengthen research and teaching in the field and attract talented new scholars to it.
