Please join ISA's Global Health Studies Section on January 20th, 2021 as it hosts a webinar on "Exploring IR Research Related to the COVID-19 Pandemic." Over the past year we have witnessed a novel coronavirus infect millions of people, killing hundreds of thousands, and impacting the wellbeing of billions worldwide. The COVID-19 pandemic has laid bare the critical role of politics and policy at both the domestic and international level in preventing and controlling global health risks. The outbreak provides endless research opportunities for international relations scholars interested in power, agency, multilateralism, human security, public-private partnerships, gender, communications, and much more. This webinar presents two current research projects related to COVID-19 before facilitating a broader discussion about how IR scholars can examine the global COVID crisis.
