ISA Announces New Editorial Teams for ISP, JoGSS, and OREIS

The International Studies Association has selected new editorial teams for two of its journals and its research encyclopedia. A team from Texas Christian University, led by James Scott, will take over responsibility for International Studies Perspectives starting January 1, 2020. A team from the University of Birmingham, UK, led by Asaf Siniver and Jamie Gaskarth, will take over responsibility for the Journal of Global Security Studies starting January 1, 2020. A team from Ohio University, led by Nukhet Sandal, will take over responsibility for the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of International Studies starting January 1, 2020. ISA Call for Officer Nominations

The International Studies Association Nominating Committee invites members of the association to nominate candidates to be considered for offices for 2021-2022, including a president, three vice-presidents, and three At-Large Representative on the ISA Governing Council. ISA Research Workshop Grant Proposals Now Being Accepted

The International Studies Association is pleased to announce the Call for Applications for the Research Workshop Grant program for 2020. The program promotes and supports the interaction of scholars from different parts of the global international studies community. Research Workshop Grants (up to $10,000) are targeted for projects that aim to apply new expertise or new approaches to established research topics and are likely to catalyze rapid and innovative advances. The deadline for applications is June 15, 2019.

Call for Applications Editor(s), Foreign Policy Analysis

The Publications Committee of the International Studies Association (ISA) and the Executive Committee will make a recommendation to the ISA Governing Council regarding the assignment of editorial duties for Foreign Policy Analysis (https://academic.oup.com/fpa) at the 2020 annual meeting in Honolulu. The individual or team selected to serve as editor(s) of FPA will hold that position for a five-year term January 1, 2021 – December 31, 2025. There will also be some transitional duties during late 2020.  Proposals received no later than August 31, 2019 are assured most thorough consideration.

ISA Toronto Visa Denial Reimbursement Fund

SAVE THE DATE! “ISA at UNAI” CELEBRATES THE UN AND SOUTH-SOUTH COOPERATION FOR DEVELOPMENT

On Thursday, 25 April, the ISA and the United Nations will sponsor an afternoon of events around the topic of “South-South Cooperation for Development.” This will be part of the ongoing “ISA at UNAI” program to celebrate the upcoming 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. All events are free and open to the public.
