The International Studies Association Nominating Committee invites members of the association to nominate candidates to be considered for the offices, including a President and three Vice-Presidents, and At-Large Representatives on the ISA Governing Council. ISA 2022 Special Programs - Call for Proposals

In addition to regular paper, panel, and roundtable proposals, we are currently accepting proposals for ISA 2022 special programs. These programs include Innovative Panels, "In Other Words" roundtables, Career Courses, the Structuring Inclusion series, and the Pay it Forward workshop. The submissions deadline for all proposals is June 1st, 2021 - submit your proposal today!

ISA Statement on Academic Freedom in Burma/Myanmar

The International Studies Association (ISA) expresses grave concern for the state of academic freedom in Burma/Myanmar following the military coup initiated on February 1 2021. Nationwide protests following the coup have been met with repression and security force raids and occupations of university campuses. These actions and events are severe threats to academic freedom in the country and the autonomy of its higher education institutions. They represent an unfortunate step backwards for academic freedom in Burma/Myanmar, which had been improving since the country’s return to civilian rule in 2008.
