ISA 2016 Specialty Programs

ISA offers a number of specialty programs and events during the Annual Convention in addition to the convention program. These special programs are intended to add variety and new opportunities for our participants. In 2016 we will offer a number of Innovative Panels, Career Courses, Research Workshop Grants, Working Groups and the Pay it Forward Mentoring Program that we hope will be of interest to our convention participants.

WISC Exploratory Workshops 2015-2016 - Call for Hosts

The World International Studies Committee (WISC) has issued a "Call for Hosts" for a first round of "Exploratory Workshops" in the Global South. Organizations and institutions interested in hosting workshops are encouraged to submit an application by July 1, 2015.  WISC is an ISA Partner Organization.

HR 2015 Hague - Participant Information & Paper Archive

The paper submissions site for the Human Rights and Justice Conference is now open and an updated copy of the draft conference program is now available. Please ensure that you upload your paper no later than Monday, 25 May to allow your fellow panel members time to read it in advance of the conference. All panel sessions are 90 minutes in length.  We ask that you reserve between 30-40 minutes for questions.  Therefore, please coordinate with your panel Chair regarding the length of individual presentations and discussant remarks.  Panel chairs are responsible for timekeeping as well as moderating discussion. We look forward to seeing you next month.

ISA's International Organization Section (IO) invites nominations for their Distinguished Scholar Award  Award. The award recognizes scholars of exceptional merit who have made distinctive marks in the field and whose influence, intellectual works, and mentorship will likely continue to impact the field for years to come. Nominations are due May 19th.

ISA's Religion and IR Section (REL) invites nominations for their Best Book Award. The award recognizes a book that excels in originality, significance and rigor in the broadly defined field of Religion and IR. The recipient will receive a recognition plaque and a one-year membership in the section. Nominations are due Sept. 1st.
