ISA Headquarters is composed of a staff of 12 people, many of whom are located at the University of Connecticut. We are excited to introduce you to the ISA HQ staff so that you can get to know us a bit better!


Staff Spotlight - Kristin Nacovsky

What is your position with ISA? Conventions & Conferences Manager

How did you get started with ISA? I started out on the finance team, and managing the travel grant program. After about 6 months I transitioned over to the convention planning team.

What is your favorite Convention memory? My first convention was Baltimore, and I recall there being a peaceful protest in the lobby and outside. It made my heart happy to see people peacefully standing up for what they believe in.

What is your favorite movie? The Blind Side

What has been the biggest challenge you have faced during COVID? Zoom Fatigue - It is a real thing!

Favorite dish to bring to a pot luck? Veggie Tray

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring? Music of some kind, photos of friends and family, and pizza (of course)!

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day? Why? Ruth Bader Ginsburg - What an inspiration.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you? Sandra Bullock

Tell us three things most people don’t know about you. 1. I have never played Monopoly!! 2. I swam with Sea Turtles in Hawaii. 3. My dream job would be a Labor and Delivery Nurse.

Motto or personal mantra? Believe in what you want so much that it has no choice but to materialize.

What has been the most important innovation you have witnessed in your lifetime? The Internet!

Have you learned anything new, or started any new hobbies since the COVID-19 pandemic has kept us home? Home Organization has become an obsession!
