The International Studies Association invites applications to participate in "ISA at UNAI", a joint program between ISA and the United Nations Academic Impact office. This program provides a forum for the sharing of ideas, in an informal and off-the-record setting, between ISA members and their counterparts at the United Nations. To participate, members are invited to suggest a discussion theme and the names of three to five ISA members interested in participating. ISA and UNAI will then find UN Secretariat staff or diplomats from UN Missions with similar interests. Ideas will be exchanged in a small, "Chatham House Rules" setting. Some money is available to offset transportation costs for participants.
Panel suggestions will be considered on a competitive basis by a committee. Suggested panels will be evaluated according to importance of scholarship, timeliness, national and gender balance of participants, input from the UN, and other factors. Inquiries can be directed to Joel Oestreich at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, please visit: http://www.isanet.org/ISA/Governance/Committees/UNAI-Project.
