As you know, our section is organizing an international conference on Boundaries and Borders in an Evolving World Order: Challenges and Prospects. The conference is scheduled for June 13-15, 2016 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The topic is of critical importance and we are fortunate to be partnering with the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT). The Administration of ACT has kindly offered us the use of their excellent facilities. The purpose of this note is to request that you submit your abstracts at your earliest convenience, and that you spread the word about our conference among colleagues through your other networks encouraging them to do the same. The deadline for the submission of abstracts, February 10, 2016, is fast approaching. Our Organizing Committee is looking forward to receiving and reviewing your abstracts and seeing as many of you as possible next June in Thessaloniki.

We are pleased to confirm several plenary sessions (click on story for full details) and very excited that several eminent practitioners and academics have agreed to speak at the conference. Secondly, please remember that all who are on the program must register for the conference by 1 February (and sooner if possible to facilitate planning). After that date, the system will automatically remove you from the program and we will begin looking for a replacement for you on the program. If you have co-authors who will not be attending, please let us know before 1 February so we can note that in the system.

Additional travel information, limited hotel/dormitory options and visa information, is available on our Travel & Hotels page. Don’t forget that we have partnered with the Academic Council on the United Nations System, which is holding its annual conference at the same venue immediately after. The theme of the conference is Meeting the Challenges of Development and Diversity, and there is still time to submit a paper proposal (deadline is 31 March).

Finally, if you have any questions which are not answered on the website, feel free to contact us via e-mail: HRjc2016@global-human-rights.com. And follow us on Twitter to receive updates and to help us spread the word about the conference: @HRjc2016.
