ISA’s Annual Convention offers participants the opportunity to take part in Career Courses (CC). Career Courses are half-day sessions in which an Instructor, or team of Instructors, offers registered attendees instruction on a specific subject within their area of expertise. Past CC have included case writing and teaching, using simulations in the classroom, and designing programs for international education, among others.

CC are a successful component of the Association’s annual programming, with 88% of 2016 Annual Convention CC survey respondents stating that they would be likely or very likely to attend another CC at a future Convention. Serving as a Career Course instructor is thus an excellent way to enhance Convention attendees’ professional development opportunities, showcase your own skills and/or research, and expand your network. If you are interested in teaching a Career Course at our 2018 Annual Convention in San Francisco, please visit and contact Kristy Belton, Director of Professional Development, if you have any questions. The deadline for CC proposals is June 1, 2017.
