We are excited to announce that we are sponsoring the following three Working Groups at the upcoming ISA 2017 Annual Convention in Baltimore, Maryland:

  • Accelerating Change in Global Governance: Enhancing the Participation of Excluded and Marginalized Voices Through Information and Communication Technology (Sponsored by ICOMM, ALIAS, GDS, HR, IO Sections)
  • The Global Rise of Populism (Sponsored by IPS)
  • South Asia in World Politics (Sponsored by SAWP)

Working Groups offer attendees a forum for dialogue and interaction around designated issue areas. By participating in a Working Group, conference attendees discuss the most thought-provoking issues in their section as well as their own research through an extended and focused discussion. Such dialogue may stimulate new research questions and project ideas, and contribute to development of new communities of scholars.

Participation in ISA Working Groups is open and free to all ISA members. The application for participation opens September 19, 2016 and closes September 30, 2016.

All Working Group participants must also be registered for the ISA annual convention. Each group is limited to a maximum of 25 participants. With oversight from ISA Headquarters, Working Group Coordinators select participants to ensure diversity and representation in the Working Group.
