About the Committee

The Committee to Study the Feasibility of a Permanent Headquarters is an ad hoc committee, created by President Cameron G. Thies shortly after the 2019 Governing Council meeting in Toronto, and was renewed by President Helen Milner in April 2020. Committee members are appointed by the ISA President.

Membership and Terms

  • The committee members serve at the request of the sitting President on an ad hoc basis
  • The committee includes five ex-officio members (President, President-Elect, Past President, Executive Director, ISA Director of Operations)
  • Thank you to our 2019-2020 members who have rotated off the Committee: Nizar Messari, Laura Sjoberg, and Arturo C. Sotomayor.
