Travel Funding

ISA-West will have available small travel grants to facilitate attendance at the annual conference for graduate students and junior faculty. These grants typically come in the form of payment for one-half night stay in the conference hotel, the Westin Pasadena. Award recipients may wish to consider rooming with at least one other recipient so that funds cover one or more full night’s stays. Awards are contingent on participation in the program and will be awarded both on the basis of need and merit. Priority will be given to applicants located in the Western region. Awards will be dispersed as reimbursement for hotel fees. Receipts will be collected at the final day of the conference (Saturday).

Please note: You are not required to be an ISA Member to apply for a travel grant. However if you receive a grant, you must be/become an ISA member and provide receipts in the amount (or more) of the award in order to accept ISA funds. To apply, please submit a short outline of your current funding sources and indicate your university and the current location you will be traveling from. Please include your proposed abstract and paper title in the application. Applications should be sent to Dr. Veronica Ward at veronica.ward@usu.edu.

The deadline for travel grant applications is August 12th.
