Transportation, Program and Events

The Program Chairs have worked hard this year to put together a great program.

The conference will be held at Rhodes College, Buckman Hall. Free transportation (38-passenger bus with Crown Coach) is provided from/to hotel to/from conference site during the following hours:

Friday: 4 October, 2019
15:30 and 16:30 From Hotel
19:30 To Hotel
Saturday: 5 October, 2019
7:30, 9:15, and 11:15 From Hotel
14:30, 16:30, and 19:30 To Hotel

  • Registration ONLY at the Holiday Inn Downtown Memphis hotel on Friday afternoon (12:30 - 3:00pm) and at the lobby of Buckman Hall (in front of Blount Auditorium) on Friday evening (4:30 - 6:30pm) and all day Saturday
  • Friday afternoon visit to the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel (12:30 - 3:00pm), ~15 minute walk from hotel
  • Tour of campus on Friday (4:15pm) and Saturday (10am); meet at Buckman Hall lobby
  • Friday evening reception at Spence Wilson Room and Patio, Briggs Hall (6:50 - 8:15pm)
  • Saturday luncheon at Burrow Refectory (the Rat) at Hyde Hall (to the right as you enter the Rat) (12:30 - 2:00pm)

Checking in on Site

If you have registered online, we will have your badge printed and ready to pick up in the registration area. If you have been awarded a travel grant from ISA-South, you will need to check in at the desk in the registration area during the hours listed above.

Panel Sessions

ISA-South 2019 runs five blocks of sessions. These are the D block on Friday, and the A, B, C, and D blocks on Saturday. Session codes for each day then start with the letter of that day, followed by the block letter, and then the room code. So, "SA03" is the 3rd session in the A block (9:00 am) on Saturday.

  • "A" slots: 9:00 am - 10:30 am
  • "B" slots: 10:45 am - 12:15 pm
  • "C" slots: 2:15 pm - 3:45 pm
  • "D" slots: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
