We're excited to see you in Austin! This year’s conference will be held at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. The conference takes place from Friday, November 14th through Sunday, November 16th, 2014.
Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs The University of Texas, Austin 2315 Red River Street Sid Richardson Hall, Unit 3 Austin, Texas 78712
Many attendees may wish to take the convenient city bus between the conference hotel and the meetings at the LBJ School. The fare is $1.50 each way. To travel from the Radisson to the School, take the 10 North Bus on Congress Avenue. You will board the bus on the northeast corner of Congress Avenue and Cesar Chavez Street, just across Cesar Chavez from the Radisson Hotel. The bus will take you through downtown and drop you off in front of the Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium. You will then walk east, crossing Robert Dedman Drive, toward a large lawn and fountain that stand in front of Sid Richardson Hall and the LBJ Library and Museum. You can take the large stones steps up to the plaza or the elevator in the basement of the LBJ School to gain access to the main doors of the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
Attendees are welcome to drive to Austin for the conference, but daily parking at the conference (as opposed to at the conference hotel) may be challenging. The lots right in front of the LBJ School will not be available for conference attendees. The closest parking lot is the Manor Parking Garage on Clyde Littlefield Drive. (See Campus Parking Map)
The LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin is on the east side of the UT campus, about a block west of IH-35, the major international highway that bisects Austin north to south. The LBJ School is in Sid Richardson Hall (SRH), which is a three-story white building between Red River Street and the very large, white marble LBJ Library. The School is in the northern half of Sid Richardson Hall, known as SRH Unit 3. There are entrances at the middle of the School on east and west sides of the building. The accessible entrance is located on the southern end of the building, which corresponds to a breezeway that connects the parking lot to the plaza surrounding the LBJ Library.

Coming from either north or south on IH-35, look for the exit for E. Dean Keeton Street, formerly known as 26th Street. There will also be signs on the highway for the LBJ Library.
Coming from the north on IH-35, take exit 235b and proceed along the frontage road for a short distance. Turn right on E. Dean Keeton. Immediately and quickly move to the left-hand lane and turn left on Red River Street. Drive to the intersection with Clyde Littlefield Drive and turn right. The Manor Parking Garage will be on your left after the Mike A. Myers Soccer Stadium. Walk north towards Sid Richardson Hall.
Coming from the south on IH-35, take exit 236a, proceed along the frontage road and then take the sweeping, U-shaped right-hand turn that will bring you around to E. Dean Keeton Street. Turn right on E. Dean Keeton, go under the IH-35 overpass, move to the left lane and then turn left on Red River Street. Drive to the intersection with Clyde Littlefield Drive and turn right. The Manor Parking Garage will be on your left after the Mike A. Myers Soccer Stadium. Walk north towards Sid Richardson Hall.
Garage and street parking is available to LBJ School visitors. The Manor Parking Garage is the nearest parking garage to the LBJ School, and there is a parking fee (see fee schedule below). Please note that this garage is not staffed on the weekend and therefore requires payment with a credit card at self-serve kiosks in the garage. The Manor Parking Garage only accepts Discover, MasterCard and Visa for payment.
At times there are open metered parking spaces on the west side of Red River Street. However, UT and Austin parking enforcement are both vigilant in their monitoring of these parking areas and assessing of heavy penalties so we recommend parking in a parking structure on campus to avoid being fined. More information about parking is available at the campus parking website.
For more information or inquiries about parking options for persons with disabilities, contact the Parking and Transportation Services Office at 512-471-PARK (7275).
