ISA Accra 2019 Program

We're excited to announce our 2019 program in Accra! To use our online program, including our personalized scheduler, you must be logged in to isanet.org. In the meantime, you are welcome to view our downloadable PDFs of the program and our meetings and receptions list.

Preliminary Schedule

ISA Accra 2019 runs four normal blocks of sessions each day. These are the A, B, C, and D blocks. Session codes for each day then start with the letter of that day, followed by the block letter, and then the room code. So, "TA03" is the 3rd session in the A block (9:00 am) on Thursday.

  • "A" slots: 9:00 am - 10:30 am
  • "B" slots: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
  • "C" slots: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
  • "D" slots: 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

TBD Tour within Accra
including some historic and ceremonial sights,
the Shai Hills Reserve (which has a monkey sanctuary).
TBD Tour outside Accra to Cape Coast Castle.
This will include stops along the routes traveled by the Slaves
through to the Cape Coast Castles where they were eventually
put on ships to North America.
* The conference officially ends Saturday evening however ISA is coordinating with our hosts to provide special tourism options for those conference attendees who might be interested. Tours will be arranged by a tour company whose details will be shared with participants in advance and also will be on site during the conference to register interested individuals.
