Registration Issues

Our e-commerce provider PayPal is experiencing some technical difficulties and we are in contact with them to resolve the problems. We have posted the registration form here so that you may download the form and return it by FAX, post or e-mail attachment. Thank you.

Hilton Telephone Reservations

We have been notified that some members are having difficulty making their hotel reservations by telephone. To make hotel reservations by telephone, you must provide the ISA group code in order to get the group rate. For the San Francisco Hilton (415-771-1400), our group code is: IAC

Non-Member Participants

The deadline for NON-MEMBER PARTICIPANTS TO REGISTER for the convention has been extended to October 29th.  Non-members who do not register by this date will be dropped from the program.

Annual Convention Participation Announcements

Dear Colleague,

We understand that there was a error on the web page indicating that notifications for acceptance/rejection to the program would be sent out by September 28th, which was the deadline for last year's convention. As a result of the typo, the program chairs have been queried by a number of you regarding why you may not have received a notification last Friday.

Please note that the error was made at HQ and in behalf of all of us there, I apologize for the error. The program chairs have met all the deadlines despite a record setting, tremendous volume of applications for the San Francisco program.

Note as well that all the notifications are being e-mailed today and tomorrow.

Child Care Services

ISA is pleased to offer child care at the 2008 Annual Convention. Kiddie Corp, a nationally recognized provider of onsite child care programs, is our official contractor.  Program services are available only to ISA members, on a first-come, first-served basis.  Non-members who wish to participate in the child care program must first join ISA before submitting a registration request to Kiddie Corp.

Cost: Faculty ISA members will pay $50 per child/per day; student ISA members will pay $25 per child/per day.

Location and Hours: Child care will be offered March 26 through March 29, from 8 AM to 6 PM daily. Kiddie Corp Registration will be located at the entrance to the California Room, Ballroom Level, Hilton San Francisco.

Eligibility:  Child care services are offered to ISA members with pre-registered children.  Children from 6 months to 12 years of age can participate in the program.  Walk-ins are accepted on a space-available basis. Please check availability at the Kiddie Corp Registration Desk, California Room, during regular program hours. Entire program fee applies - no discounts for partial or single-day enrollment.

Meeting & Reception Forms

We have posted some forms on the Convention website for those planning meetings and receptions. In our effort to make the process and painless as possible, we are using interactive PDF application forms that will allow you to easily fill out the forms on your computer and send them back to us. We have since learned that some Mac users may have difficulty with the interactive forms and so we have posted the standard PDF forms as well. If you are having difficulty, first make sure you are using the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is freely available from the Adobe website, and then if you are still experiencing problems, you may use the standard PDF files to submit your application. • Paper, Panel and Poster ACCEPTANCE LETTERS sent out via email

Oct. 12, 2007   

• TRAVEL GRANT AWARDS are announced.  Recipients are notified via e-mail

Oct. 29, 2007

• LATE-REGISTRATION BEGINS FOR ISA MEMBERS.  Late Registration begins and a late fee applies after this date
• WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE.  Last day to withdraw from the program without penalty.  No refunds of registration fees after this date

Dec. 7, 2007    

• ADVERTISING COPY for the convention program due to ISA Headquarters by 5 p.m. MST
• Last day to CANCEL BOOTH OR ADVERTISING SPACE with reduced financial penalties.  100% penalty applies after this date
• Last day to request MEETING OR RECEPTION SPACE and have the event listed in the convention program.  Meetings or receptions requested after this date will not be listed in the official program
• Last day to send SPONSOR CONFIRMATIONS to ISA Headquarters.  Sponsors obtained after this date will not be listed in the convention program

Jan. 14, 2008   

• ONLINE PAPER ARCHIVE opens on All Academic website.  Participants can begin submitting copies of their papers to the archive (required for all presenters). NOTE: All Academic has not opened the archive, announcements will be sent to presenters when the archive opens.

Feb. 11, 2008   

• Deadline for ISA AWARD COMMITTEE CHAIRS to submit the 2008 ISA Awards Order Form for awards presented at the Convention.

Mar. 16, 2008   

• ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES.  Anyone wishing to register for the conference after this date must do so on-site at the ISA Registration Desk at the San Francisco Hilton.

Mar. 25, 2008   

• ONSITE REGISTRATION OPENS (late fees apply) at the San Francisco Hilton
• ISA WORKSHOPS AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS (by invitation only)
• EXHIBITOR INSTALL

Mar. 26-29, 2008   

• CONVENTION BEGINS Panels, exhibits, meetings and receptions take place at the Hilton San Francisco and Parc Fifty Five hotels.

Audio Visual Equipment

PANELISTS AND PRESENTERS:

Overhead projectors and screens are provided in all panel rooms. Panelists and presenters who wish to rent LCD projectors or other AV equipment must do so at their own expense. The cost to rent an LCD projector ranges from $200 to $300 per day.

PLEASE NOTE: Panels will be held in two hotels; the San Francisco Hilton and the Parc Fifty Five. Each hotel has its own audio visual contractor. The online preliminary program does not list meeting room or hotel names for panels. Panelists who wish to order AV equipment for their presentations can contact ISA and we will direct you to the appropriate contact for prices and ordering. Please send an email to Ishara Smith at ishara@u.arizona.edu and include your name and the date/time of panel (from your acceptance letter or preliminary program.) Please allow 2-3 business days for a reply.

WORKSHOP CHAIRS, BUSINESS MEETING AND RECEPTION ORGANIZERS:

Contact the ISA Director of Conventions for assistance with your audio visual arrangements for any non-panel event. AV costs can be consolidated into the invoice for your function. Email Jeanne White at Jeanne@u.arizona.edu

OFFICIAL AUDIO-VISUAL SUPPLIERS:

Presentation Services Audio Visual (PS-AV) is the official contractor for the San Francisco Hilton. PS-AV is offering a 45% discount on all hardware products to convention attendees. Please request the ISA discount when ordering. A downloadable order form with contact information is available here (Excel).

Swank Audio Visual is the official contractor for the Parc Fifty Five Hotel. LCD projectors are available at a discounted rate for $250 per day plus tax and service charge. To order, contact Isaac Goldstein at (415) 403-6625 or e-mail igoldstein@swankav.com.
