The Political Demography & Geography Section seeks to bring together demographers, economist, political scientists, and other social scientists interested in expanding the transdiciplinary boundaries of knowledge. Studying political phenomena through the population prism presents opportunities to encourage, facilitate and disseminate research that could lead to novel analytical insights.
The Political Demography & Geography Section seeks to support and promote replicable research in this field that provides clear theoretical argument and gathers strength and validity from the empirical testing of hypotheses.
Like all sections of ISA the Political Demography & Geography Section is entitled to sponsor panels and host events at the ISA Annual Convention. Other section events and activities will be organized by the section officers and leaders.
