ADISM - Archive of peace operations and multilateral security
Researchers in international relations, security, and multilateralism are invited to visit the ADISM website. ADISM is the acronym of the research project on Multilateral security and Peace operations directed by Fulvio Attinà at the Department of Political Studies, University of Catania. The ADISM website makes available to researchers the dataset of 205 peace operations. The project seeks to collect, disseminate, and use quantitative data for the study of international security, multilateralism, and the foreign policy of Italy. The project adopts the political science principles of documentation and analysis.

Americas Quarterly
Americas Quarterly: The Policy Journal for Our Hemisphere is an independent policy journal dedicated to the Americas. AntePodium

AntePodium is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to scholarly research on the politico-strategic, politico-economic and politico-cultural dimensions of world affairs. Association of Religion Data Archives NEW
The Association of Religion Data Archives (ARDA) strives to democratize access to the best data on religion. Data included in the ARDA are submitted by the foremost religion scholars and research centers in the world. The ARDA allows anyone to interactively explore the data using online features for generating national profiles, GIS maps, church membership overviews, denominational heritage trees, tables, charts, and other reports. Over 500 surveys and other data collections are available for online preview and virtually all can be downloaded free of charge. Currently housed in the Social Science Research Institute at the Pennsylvania State University, the ARDA is funded by the Lilly Endowment, the John Templeton Foundation and the Pennsylvania State University.

British International Studies Association (BISA)
An independent academic organization which promotes the study of International Relations and related subjects through teaching, research and the facilitation of contact between scholars. It is the professional organization for academic and practitioners of International Relations in the United Kingdom.

California Newsreel
California Newsreel produces and distributes cutting edge, social justice films that inspire, educate and engage audiences. Founded in 1968, Newsreel is the oldest non-profit, social issue documentary film center in the country. They are a leading resource center for the advancement of racial justice and diversity, and the study of African American life and history as well as African culture and politics. In 2006, they launched a new thematic focus for our work: the Global Economy, with an emphasis on the international division of labor. Offering an alternative view to much of the mainstream coverage of global economic issues, their videos serve as analytic educational tools, reminding us that a different trajectory is not only possible but imperative.

Canadian Institute of International Affairs

Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs
The Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs in an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to research and education at the nexus of ethics and international affairs.

Carter Center

Center for International Development and Conflict Management
A research unit focusing on the analysis and resolution of protracted international and regional conflicts, and related issues of political, economic and social development.

Center for International and Security Studies (CISSM)
CISSM pursues policy-oriented scholarship on major issues facing the United States in the global arena.

Center for a New American Security (CNAS)
The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) develops strong, pragmatic and principled national security and defense policies that promote and protect American interests and values. Building on the deep expertise and broad experience of its staff and advisors, CNAS engages policymakers, experts and the public with innovative fact-based research, ideas and analysis to shape and elevate the national security debate. As an independent and nonpartisan research institution, CNAS leads efforts to help inform and prepare the national security leaders of today and tomorrow. Columbia International Affairs On-line (CIAO)
Comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It publishes a wide range of scholarship from 1991 on that includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, and proceedings from conferences.

Combating Terrorism Center
The Combating Terrorism Center at West Point strives to develop an internationally recognized center for terrorism studies to understand better the foreign and domestic terrorist threats to security, to educate leaders who will have responsibilities to counter terrorism, and to provide policy analysis and assistance to leaders dealing with the current and future terrorist threat.

Copenhagen Peace Research Institute (COPRI)
The purpose of COPRI is to stimulate debate and research on international key issues related to Peace and Security Studies. The institute does this through research, seminars, publications and news.

Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)
The Council is a nonpartisan think-tank dedicated to helping constituents better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other governments. Country Indicators for Foreign Policy (CIFP)

Current Issues in Comparative Education
(CICE)
An online journal based at Teachers College, Columbia University, that publishes scholarly work from a variety of academic disciplines. CICE seeks clear and significant contributions that further debate on educational policies and comparative studies.

The personal website of Prof. R.J. Rummel designed to make as widely available as possible the theories, work, results, and data that empirically and historically, quantitatively and qualitatively, support the democratic peace thesis. East-West Center

Foreign Policy Association (FPA)
The Foreign Policy Association (FPA) is a national, nonprofit, nonpartisan, nongovernmental, educational organization founded in 1918 to educate Americans about the significant international issues that influence their lives. FPA provides impartial publications, programs and forums to increase public awareness of, and foster popular participation in, matters relating to those policy issues. The site provides news, commentary, message boards, and topical web guides.

Foreign Policy In Focus (FPIF)
Established in 1996, FPIF seeks to make the U.S. a more responsible global leader and global partner. It is a "think tank without walls" that functions as an international network of more than 650 policy analysts and advocates. German Studies Association
The German Studies Association is the multi- and interdisciplinary association of scholars in German, Austrian, and Swiss political science, economics, history, literature, and culture studies. The GSA holds an annual Conference and publishes a scholarly journal - German Studies Review - as well as a Newsletter. Members are generally professors at universities in colleges in North America, although there are several hundred members in Europe and Asia. Human Rights Watch
Human Rights Watch is an independent, nongovernmental organization, supported by contributions from private individuals and foundations worldwide. We are dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world. We stand with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom, to protect people from inhumane conduct in wartime, and to bring offenders to justice. Human Security Gateway
The Human Security Gateway is a rapidly expanding searchable online database of human security-related resources including reports, journal articles, news items and fact sheets. The Gateway contains a wealth of information on issues pertaining to international relations and can be searched by "Topics" as well as "Regions" and "Resources", making it a very useful research tool.

Human Security Report
The 2005 Human Security Report tracks and analyses trends in political violence around the world. Funded by five governments, the Report maps the incidence, intensity, causes and consequences of global violence and policy responses to that violence. The Report was launched on October 17th, and has received worldwide media attention.

I

ICONS Project
ICONS (the International Communication and Negotiation Simulations) offers educational simulations of international relations at both the university and high school levels. Students at a participating institution represent the decision makers of a selected country and negotiate solutions to global problems via the Internet with peers from around the world.

INCORE: Ethnic Conflict on the Internet
The Initiative on Conflict Resolution and Ethnicity (INCORE) was set up in 1993 by the University of Ulster and the United Nations University to undertake research and policy work that is useful to the resolution of ethnic, political and religious conflicts.

Institute for Experiential Learning (IEL)
IEL is dedicated to providing future leaders with a rigorous internship experience that will prepare them for success in the workplace and active engagement in their communities. Institute for International Mediation and Conflict Resolution (IIMCR)
The Institute for International Mediation and Conflict Resolution (IIMCR) is a Washington, DC based non-profit institution whose mission is to promote the use of peaceful conflict resolution techniques among a generation of future leaders through the design and implementation of unique programs and services. Intelligence Careers Newsletter
The vision for Intelligence Careers is to make it the starting point for "information intelligence professionals" to find great career opportunities.

International Affairs Forum NEW
This is an on-line journal and research portal dedicated to facilitating global views and perspectives regardless of ideology. Presents all-partisan, global perspectives on today's most important issues in International Affairs, Economics, and Intelligence. Published by the Center for International Relations, a non-profit organization.

International Alert
International Alert is an independent peacebuilding organisation working in over 20 countries and territories around the world. Their dual approach involves working directly with people affected by violent conflict as well as at government, EU and UN levels to shape both policy and practice in building sustainable peace.

International Association for Conflict Management
The Association was founded to encourage scholars and practitioners to develop and disseminate theory, research, and experience that is useful for understanding and improving conflict management in family, organizational, societal, and international settings.

International Crisis Group

The International Crisis Group is a private, multinational organization, with over 110 staff members on five continents, working through field-based analysis and high-level advocacy to prevent and resolve deadly conflict.

International Development Research Centre
A public corporation created by the Canadian government to help communities in the developing world find solutions to social, economic, and environmental problems through research.

International Financial Institutions
This site lists research material on the international financial institutions. There are separate listings for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank Group and other multilateral institutions. The listings include basic references, books and monographs, published articles and recent working papers.

International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change
The International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP) is an international, interdisciplinary science programme, dedicated to promoting, catalysing and coordinating research, capacity-development and networking on the human dimensions of global environmental change. It takes a social science perspective on global change and works on the interface between science and practice. IHDP is a joint programme of the International Council for Science (ICSU), the International Social Science Council (ISSC) and the United Nations University (UNU).

International Law Institute 
The Institute works to help solve problems faced by the international community through economic development and rule of law.

International Peace Academy
International Peace Academy (IPA) is an independent, international institution dedicated to promoting the prevention and settlement of armed conflicts between and within states through policy research and development.

International Peace Research Association 
The purpose of IPRA is to advance interdisciplinary research into the conditions of peace and the causes of war and other forms of violence; to encourage worldwide cooperation designed to assist the advancement of peace research and, in particular; to promote national and international studies and teaching related to the pursuit of world peace; to facilitate contacts and cooperation between scholars and educators throughout the world; and to encourage worldwide dissemination of results of peace research.

International Relations and Security Network (ISN) NEW
ISN works to integrate information technology with the international security community; provides the international security community-including academics, civil servants and civil society representatives-with unparalleled access to knowledge management tools, information services, educational and training activities, and conferences and seminars.

International Relations Students Association (IRSA)
IRSA provides students from a variety of disciplines with a forum for the discussion of international issues in a casual environment. Discussions reflect upon all areas of international interest. IRSA activities include guest speakers, career conferences, panel discussions, UBC Model United Nations, Model United Nations conferences abroad, and the Model NATO in Washington, DC. IRSA is also a resource group, with links to information about international job opportunities, internships, institutions, and related academic opportunities.

International Relations Theory
The International Relations (IR) Theory Web site is an on-line resource for students, scholars and other professionals interested in International Relations theory and research.

International Security 
International Security is America's leading journal of security affairs. It provides sophisticated analyses of contemporary security issues and discusses their conceptual and historical foundations. International Security is edited at Harvard University's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and is published by the MIT Press.

International Security Online
Gateway to information resources from the Project on Defense Alternatives, including six Internet libraries on war and peace issues featuring full-text documents, articles and books.

International Social Science Council

Promotes of the understanding of human society in its environment by fostering the social and behavioral sciences throughout the world and their application to major contemporary problems and by enhancing co-operation by means of a global international organization of social and behavioral scientists and social and behavioral science organizations, encouraging multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary co-operation among the members of the ISSC.

International Training Center of the ILO
The Centre is the training arm of the International Labour Organization (ILO), a United Nations agency entrusted with promoting social justice, including internationally recognized human rights and labour standards. The Centre is based in Turin, Italy, and works to enhance the capacity of governments, employers' organizations, workers' organizations and other social and economic actors to play an effective role in the economic and social development of their countries and regions, by providing training in subjects that further the ILO's pursuit of decent work for all. The Centre meets participants’ needs by means of training courses on-campus in Turin, training events in-country or in-the-region, distance learning programmes, postgraduate programmes and custom-made conferences and seminars. The Centre is more than a training institute. The campus in Turin, Italy, is a meeting place where professionals from all over the world share experience.
