Awards Overview

Trophy

Welcome to the ISA Awards website. ISA offers several awards given to recognize outstanding scholarly contributions to the field of international studies. These awards have different committees, nominating procedures and application deadlines, and they recognize outstanding papers, books, acheivement and service to the international studies community. Please see the menu links on the left for more information on these awards.

  • Awards are announced or presented during the ISA Annual Convention. Several Regions and Sections present awards during their Business Meetings or Receptions while others are presented during the ISA General Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony.
  • The type of awards presented include graduate student paper awards, faculty paper awards, book awards, service awards, and distinguished scholar awards. Award certificates, plaques, and monetary awards are coordinated through ISA Headquarters.

The Awards Coordinator for 2010-2011 is Angelica Robison (arobison@isanet.org). Each award committee chair is responsible for sending complete award information to ISA Headquarters prior to the Annual Convention. ISA will prepare your award certificates for your business meeting, reception, or award ceremony. There is an Award Checklist and Timeline available to assist in submitting information on awardees. The deadline for the receipt of awards information for the annual convention is: November 1, 2010
