Student Paper Prize

ISA Canada is pleased to announce the call for papers for the ISA Canada Student Paper Prize.

ISA Canada is pleased to announce its call for papers for the inaugural ISA Canada Student Paper Prize.  According to the terms of reference adopted by the membership of ISA Canada in March 2011, the ISA Canada Student Paper Prize is:

  • Open to all PhD students who are members of ISA and ISA-Canada
  • Open to PhD students in any of the disciplines that fall under the aegis of International Studies
  •  To be awarded for a previously unpublished, single authored paper delivered at the ISA meeting in that given year.
  • PhD dissertation chapters will be accepted if they are previously unpublished. 
  • To be awarded to a paper written in either French or English.
  • To be awarded at the reception held by ISA-Canada at the Annual Meeting of the International Studies Association.
  • Papers must be received by the prize jury three weeks in advance of the ISA meeting.

Value: $300.00

In addition to the criteria above:

  • Submissions are to be no longer than 8000 words
  • Submissions will be evaluated for: originality, strength, clarity of argument, and contribution to the appropriate literature.
  • Submissions are due Wednesday, March 13, 2013. 
  • Submissions will be made to members of the jury. Jury members will be announced by January 15, 2013.

The 2012 Award Committee members are:

The deadline for the 2013 submission will be Wednesday, March 13, 2013. The terms of reference for the award committee requires that jurors be given 3 weeks prior to the start date of the ISA convention in order to complete their adjudication.

Jury members for the 2013 award will be announced no later than January 15, 2013, again, as is required by the terms of reference.

Appel de communications pour l’ISA-Canada prix de la meilleure communication étudiante de 2012

ISA-Canada est heureux de vous annoncer leur appel de communications pour le Prix de la meilleure communication étudiante – ISA-Canada 2012

Selon les termes de référence adoptés par les membres d’ISA-Canada en mars 2011, le Prix de la meilleure communication étudiante ISA-Canada est :

  • Ouvert aux étudiant.e.s au doctorat qui sont membres d’ISA et d’ISA-Canada.
  • Ouvert aux étudiant.e.s au doctorat de toutes disciplines liées aux études internationales.
  • Sélectionné pour une communication non-publiée, à auteur unique, présentée à la conférence d’ISA l’année même du concours.
  • Les chapitres de la thèse doctorale seront acceptés s’ils n’ont pas déjà été publiés. 
  • Octroyé à une communication écrite en français ou en anglais.
  • Octroyé à la réception organisée par ISA-Canada à la conférence annuelle d’ISA
  • Les communications doivent être reçues par le comité de sélection trois semaines avant la conférence d’ISA.

Valeur: 300.00$

En plus des critères ci-dessus:

  • Les soumissions ne peuvent pas dépasser 8000 mots
  • Les soumissions seront évaluées selon : l’originalité, la qualité et la clarté de l’argumentation et la contribution à la littérature appropriée.
  • Les soumissions devront être soumises avant le lundi 12 mars 2013. 
  • Les soumissions seront distribuées aux membres du comité de sélection. La composition du comité sera annoncée au plus tard le 15 janvier 2012.
