Foreign Policy magazine is honoring the "Top 100 Global Thinkers" in their December 2009 issue. ISA's Vice-President-Elect Valerie Hudson and former ISA President Bruce Bueno de Mesquita have been recognized in the top 100. Introducing the special feature, FPA notes that they are recognizing a special group, "From the brains behind Iran's Green Revolution to the economic Cassandra who actually did have a crystal ball, they had the big ideas that shaped our world in 2009." Dr. Hudson, #97 in the list, is noted for, "showing that gender imbalances have global consequences." Her work in studying the social, political and military impact of unequal sex ratios is highlighted. Former ISA President Dr. Bruce Bueno de Mesquita is listed at #60, "for hitting the bull's-eye more often than anyone," with his predictive analyses of international events. You may review the full list of the top 100 on the Foreign Policy website.
