Welcome to the homepage of the International Law Section of the International Studies Association!
The International Law Section is devoted to advancing knowledge and understanding of International Law amongst scholars and students of International Studies and Law. Section members do not have to be international lawyers, they only need to have an interest in any aspect of international law. The Section organizes panels and receptions at the annual conventions of the International Studies Association; co-operates with professional organizations worldwide in promoting the study of International Law; and issues a periodic newsletter.

Section members may participate in all Section events and activities, including:
- serving on committees
- participating in the annual business meeting
- voting on officers
- subscribing to section services (may include listservs, syllabi archives and newsletters)
- helping to organize section panels/papers at the annual convention
