The International Communication Section (ICOMM) was officially chartered by ISA in 2000. The section is broadly interested in issues including (but not limited to), the impact of information technologies in world politics, the role of the media in foreign policy, cultural dimensions of international studies, the political economy of the communications industries, information in the global order.
