The GDS Section seeks to advance analysis of and debate about the political economy of international development theory, politics, policy and planning, criteria and evaluation, especially between the scholarly and policy communities in both the South and North. The section organizes panels for the ISA annual conventions and promotes mutual communication and research links among scholars, practitioners, and students on the broad theme of global development.
Like all sections of ISA, GDS is entitled to sponsor panels and host events at the ISA Annual Convention. Other section events and activities will be organized by the section officers and leaders as needed.
