Chair (2012-14)
Antonio Franceschet is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Calgary, Canada. He is the author of Kant and Liberal Internationalism: Sovereignty, Justice, and Global Reform (Palgrave Macmillan, 2002) and editor of The Ethics of Global Governance (Lynne Rienner Publishers, 2009). He has also published articles on international theory, ethics, and law in Ethics & International Affairs, the Journal of International Political Theory, the Journal of Global Ethics, Policy and Society, Alternatives, Global Governance, Review of International Studies, and European Journal of International Relations. His current research is focused on the ethics of coercion in international politics.

Vice-Chair (2010-14)
Brent J. Steele is an Associate Professor of Political Science and International Relations, and Director of Faculty Programs for the Office of International Programs at the University of Kansas. His research has focused on a variety of issues, and specifically dealing with US Foreign Policy, Just War theory, torture, and accountability in global politics. He is the author of three books, Ontological Security in International Relations (Routledge, 2008), Defacing Power: the Aesthetics of Insecurity in global politics (University of Michigan Press, 2010), and Alternative Accountabilities in Global Politics: the Scars of Violence (Routledge, forthcoming). He is also the co-editor of two volumes, Ethics, Authority and War: Non-State Actors and the Just War Tradition (Palgrave, 2009), and Theory and Application of the ‘Generation’ in International Relations and Politics (Palgrave, 2012). His research has also appeared in a number of international studies journals, with studies appearing most recently in Millennium, International Studies Review, Journal of International Political Theory, and Review of International Studies. He teaches courses on international relations theory, international ethics, United States foreign policy, and critical security studies.

Amy E. Eckert is Associate Professor of Political Science at Metropolitan State College in Denver. She received her JD and her Ph.D. in International Studies from the University of Denver. Her work has appeared in journals including International Studies Quarterly, the Journal of Global Ethics, the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law, the Cornell International Law Journal, the Journal of Public and International Affairs, and International Legal Theory. She is the co-editor, with Laura Sjoberg, of Rethinking the 21st Century: “Old” Solutions to “New” Problems and, with Caron Gentry, of Critical Perspectives on Just War.
