CFP: Global Climate Governance and Transition to a Low Carbon Economy

The Brazilian journal Revista Brasileira de Política Internacional (RBPI) announces a special issue devoted to Global Climate Governance and Transition to a Low Carbon Economy. This edition, edited by Eduardo Viola, Full Professor of the Institute of International Relations of the University of Brasília, will evaluate the state of global climate governance, including the impasses of the multilateral negotiations, the potentialities of the G20 as an alternative arena of negotiations and the efforts of major powers in making a transition to a low carbon economy. Submissions are invited that focus on the following thematic axes: multilateral negotiations, the G20 and other plurilateral arenas, the international interface between climate/energy policy and trade/financial policy, national energy/forest/climate policies and politics of major powers, bilateral/plurilateral partnerships among major powers. All submissions should be original and unpublished, must be in the range of 50,000 characters (including spaces and footnotes), must be written in English (it is necessary to be fully correct English for non natives of the language), including an abstract of less then 70 words (and 3 key-words in English). Follow the Chicago System. The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2012. Submissions may be made online.

CFP: Global Constitutionalism

Cambridge University Press invites proposals for the new journal Global Constitutionalism - Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law (GlobCon). The journal seeks to promote a deeper understanding on the foundations, limitations and principles of political order and their dynamics over time on a global scale. As it aims at developing interdisciplinary discourse about global constitutionalism, it welcomes submissions from scholars of International Law, Political Science, International Relations, Comparative Constitutional Law, Comparative Politics, Political Theory and Philosophy. The Journal of Strategic Security (JSS), a publication of Henley-Putnam University, seeks manuscripts for the Summer 2012 (Vol. 5, No. 2) issue on the effects – if any – of the Arab Spring on strategic security around the globe. JSS is a peer-reviewed professional journal published quarterly by Henley-Putnam University Press and provides a multi-disciplinary forum for scholarship and discussion of strategic security issues drawing from the fields of intelligence, terrorism and counterterrorism studies and protection, among others. Call for Editors: World Political Science

The journal World Political Science publishes prize-winning articles nominated by political science associations around the world and translated into English. Published by Berkeley Electronic Press for the International Political Science Association (IPSA), the journal is in its seventh year of publication. As an agenda-setting journal, World Political Science provides a bridge to the highest quality political science produced outside the English-speaking world. IPSA is actively seeking applicants for a new WPS editorial team, to be composed of three to five political scientists holding a position at a college or university anywhere in the world. The editorial team will be required to fulfill a three-year mandate, with a possible renewal for a second three-year term.
