Looking Forward to the Annual Convention

ISA is looking forward to our Annual Convention next week in San Francisco. We will welcome 5,566 program participants and 78 exhibitors to our events held at the Hilton Union Square and the Parc 55. Online Registration at the Annual Convention

We will reopen online registration in MyISA during the Annual Convention in San Francisco. If you register online during the Convention, please visit the On-Site Registration Desk in the Hilton (East Lounge, Ballroom Level) to have your name badge printed. It is our hope that allowing participants to register online will expedite the process, as they won't have to provide their payment details at the Reg Desk. Our registration area will be divided between the Pre-Registration Desk (for those who registered during the early and late registration periods) and the On-Site Registration Desk for those who register during the Convention. Internet Options At ISA Annual Convention

We know you like to stay connected when you travel so here is a brief overview of our internet options. The Hilton San Francisco Union Square ISA group rate includes free guestroom internet for those staying at the hotel. Contact the hotel front desk to purchase guestroom internet (if not in an ISA-rate room bloc) or rent a workstation at the Business Center (Union Square, Lobby Level). The Cyber Café and the Exhibition Hall WiFi Lounge will offer attendees the opportunity to briefly check their email and access the internet, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Lynne Rienner Publishers, Keesing's and Routledge. The Hilton and Parc55 also offer internet access in panel rooms as a paid service for $50 per device for wireless and $100 per device for wired. Panelist must PRE-ORDER and pay on their own. Annual Convention Questions

Late Registration fo ISA 2013 Has Ended

The late registration period for the 2013 Annual Convention has now ended. We will open on-site registration on Tuesday, April 2nd at 1pm in the Hilton Union Square, East Lounge, Ballroom Level. Online registration will also re-open at that time with on-site rates applied.

Our ISA registration area will be divided between the Pre-Registration Desk (organized alphabetically) and the On-Site Desk. If you already registered, please visit the Pre- Registration desk to pick up your name badge and program, they will be waiting for you. If you have not yet paid, visit the On-Site Registration Desk to complete your registration payment. Please see our registration website for more information on rates and times.

11th Annual Human Rights Film Festival

Will you be in San Francisco for the ISA Annual Convention? You might be interested to know that the University of San Francisco is hosting it's 11th Annual Human Rights Film Festival during the same period. The event is free and open to the public - the #31 bus is a direct connection from the Convention site to USF's Presentation Theater (stop Masonic & Turk). More information can be found here.

Hotel Reservation Cut-Off Deadline Approaching

Please note that the room reservation deadline for the overflow hotels at the Annual Convention is fast approaching. The cut-off date for Hotel Nikko and the Handlery is March 9th and the cut-off for the Hotel Manaco is March 11th. Our overflow hotels offer another option for our convention attendees who have yet to make room reservations. These hotels offer the same discounted room rates as our primary host hotels. Please see the convention hotel website for more information.  The 2013 ISA Annual Convention will take place from 3-6 April in San Francisco, CA. The Hilton San Francisco Union Square and the Parc 55 Wyndham Hotel are our host hotels.

Update March 8, 2013:  The Parc 55 has extended the group cutoff date to March 15th.

New Overflow Hotel Added for Annual Convention

The Hotel Nikko San Francisco is now accepting room reservations for the ISA Annual Convention. The Nikko is a luxury AAA rated hotel located near Moscone & Union Square. The ISA Annual Convention will convene in San Francisco from 3-6 April 2013. Please see our convention hotel website for room rates and more information.

Annual Convention Hotels Update

The Grand Hyatt San Francisco has informed us that they are now accepting room reservations for the 2013 ISA Annual Convention in San Francisco. The Hyatt is an overflow hotel for our meeting located two blocks from the Hilton Union Square and Parc 55. They are offering discounted room rates ($176 Single and Double) and you may make your room reservation using their customized site here. The cutoff date for our group rate is March 9, 2013. When our room block at this hotel is full we will add another overflow hotel. The Hyatt has put together this promotional video:

Annual Convention Withdrawal Deadline

This is a reminder that today is the last day to withdraw from the 2013 Annual Convention, refunds will not be processed after this date. Our 2013 Annual Convention will convene in San Francisco, April 3-6, at the Hilton Union Square and Parc 55 Wyndham, to consider the theme The Politics of International Diffusion: Regional and Global Dimensions.
