The program chairs announce that the proposal deadline has been extended for the Nineteenth Annual Conference of the Japan Studies Association to be held at Hawaii Tokai International College in Honolulu from January 3-5, 2013. The conference occurs annually at various locations throughout the United States, inviting nationally and internationally prominent personalities to give presentations concerning Japan. In addition, refereed papers are presented by qualified JSA members in multiple sessions. Papers presented at the conference regularly appear in the Japan Studies Assocation Journal. Proposals may be submitted to Program Chairs Dr. Tom Campbell, Wabash College (USA), and Dr. Maggie Ivanova, Flinders University (Australia) at the address shown on the online form. The deadline to submit proposals for individual papers or group sessions is October 20, 2012. Details about the 2013 conference are posted on the Association's website.
