ISA Call for Treasurer Nominations

The International Studies Association Nominating Committee invites members of the association to nominate candidates to be considered for the position of Treasurer of ISA.  Self-nominations are welcome.  The Treasurer serves a three-year term starting in 2014.  Criteria include professional distinction and knowledge of ISA;  experience with budgets or finance is highly desirable. Nominations should contain: (1) a detailed letter that addresses the nominee's professional accomplishments and experience with the association and (2) a current vita for the candidate.  Nominations should also have the prior approval of the candidate.  ISA is committed to diversity in its officers in terms of their theoretical and methodological perspectives, geographical location, gender, and ethnicity.

THE DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS IS JUNE 15, 2012.

Nominations should be sent to the ISA nominating committee using the following email: nominations2012@isanet.org, with “ISA Treasurer Nomination” in the subject line.

Nomination Procedure:
The membership may nominate any candidate, including themselves, for the position of Treasurer of the International Studies Association.  Nominations must be received by June 15, 2012, and include a curriculum vitae along with the nomination letter.  Nominations should be sent directly to the nominating committee at this email: nominations2012@isanet.org. Please put "ISA Treasurer Nomination" in the subject line.  The nominating committee will contact the candidates and ask them to send a short letter (no more than 300 words) indicating their willingness to serve in the position for which they are nominated, briefly summarizing their previous service experience with the association and applicable experience to be Treasurer, and stating their willingness to meet the demands of the office.  Officer responsibilities can be found listed in the ISA Constitution. The nominating committee will review the candidates' qualifications with respect to the requirements of the position as stated in the call for nominations and nominate candidates for approval by the membership. The nominating committee will inform all candidates of their status in a timely way.
