ISA is pleased to announce that President Etel Solingen will present the first plenary session at the IPSA World Congress. Titled “Sanctions and Statecraft in Nuclear Proliferation,” the session will be held on Sunday, July 8 at 5 p.m. Etel Solingen is Chancellor’s Professor at the University of California, Irvine, and president of the International Studies Association. Solingen is the author of Nuclear Logics: Contrasting Paths in East Asia and the Middle East (Princeton University Press) as well as the recipient of the 2008 Woodrow Wilson Foundation Award presented by the American Political Science Association for the best book on government, politics, or international affairs, and APSA’s 2008 Robert Jervis and Paul Schroeder Award for best book on international history and politics.
