The International Studies Association Nominating Committee invites members of the association to nominate candidates to be considered for the position of at-large representative on the ISA Governing Council. Self-nominations are welcome. At-large representatives serve a two-year term and must be from outside the recognized regions of the Association (recognized regions include ISA-Asia-Pacific, ISA-Canada, ISA-Midwest, ISA-Northeast, ISA-South, and ISA-West). At least five candidates will be recommended by the Nominating Committee for three positions. Criteria for council member include professional distinction and knowledge of ISA. Nominations should contain: (1) a detailed letter that addresses the nominee's professional accomplishments and experience with the association and (2) a current vita for the candidate. Nominations should also have the prior approval of the candidate. ISA is committed to diversity in its officers in terms of their theoretical and methodological perspectives, geographical location, gender, and ethnicity.
THE DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS IS MAY 25, 2012.
Nominations should be sent to the ISA nominating committee using the following email: nominations2012@isanet.org, with “ISA at-large member nomination” in the subject line.
Nomination Procedure:
The membership may nominate any candidate, including themselves, for the position of at-large member of the International Studies Association Governing Council. Nominations must be received by May 25, 2012, and include a curriculum vitae along with the nomination letter. Nominations should be sent directly to the nominating committee at this email: nominations2012@isanet.org. Please put "ISA at-large nomination" in the subject line. The nominating committee will review the candidates' qualifications with respect to the requirements of the position as stated in the call for nominations and nominate candidates for approval by the membership. The nominating committee will inform all candidates of their status in a timely way.
