The German Atlantic Association is looking for exceptional students and young professionals from Afghanistan, Pakistan or ISAF Countries who have a strong interest in Afghanistan and the region. When diplomats and politicians gather in Bonn to discuss the future of Afghanistan in December, 60 students from ISAF countries, Afghanistan and Pakistan will have a chance to do the same – just a few meters away. Based on first-hand information from and discussions with conference participants and independent experts, students work on original solutions on the many challenges facing Afghanistan today. The Afghanistan Student Conference will take place in Bonn, Germany on December 4-7, 2011. Full board and lodging will be provided and your active participation can be supported by a limited allowance up to €200. Applications are invited from exceptional studenta and young professionals, aged 20-30 who have a strong interest in Afghanistan and the region. Studies and/or experience in the fields of international relations, development cooperation, defense/security, journalism, international business, and academia are desirable.
