Many thanks to all who participated in the recent election for non-North American representatives to the ISA Governing Council for the 2012-2013 term. The election was held December 1st - December 15th, 2010 with votes cast by e-mail ballot and then verified and tabulated by ISA Headquarters. The three candidates with the highest number of votes, listed in alphabetical order below, will serve as ISA’s 2012-2013 Non-North American representatives to the Governing Council:
- Thomas Bernauer, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich)
- Tim Dunne, University of Queensland
- Rosanna Rocha Reis, University of Sao Paulo
Each year the ISA elects three Non-North American (NNA) members-at-large to our Governing Council for a two-year term, staggering the terms of office for the six representatives. Non-North American members-at-large are voting members of ISA’s Governing Council, the main decision-making body in areas of policy, programs, finance, and operations. As such, these new representatives are expected to attend the ISA 2012 and 2013 Governing Council meetings during ISA annual conventions.
