The ISA Human Rights Section is pleased to announce a travel grant in the amount of $500 to support a scholar travelling from the developing world to present a paper at the 2011 annual conference of the International Studies Association. This grant is funded by Oxford Journals on behalf of the Journal of Human Rights Practice and the International Journal of Transitional Justice. Applications are welcome from ISA members fitting these criteria and presenting a paper on a panel sponsored or co-sponsored by the Human Rights Section. We ask that you indicate the location from which you would travel and the rough distance to the conference site and estimated costs, and whether you have other sources of funding. Priority will be given to graduate students and junior scholars. We hope to have the decision before the pre-registration deadline of 13 October to help facilitate attendance decisions. We will ask for confirmation of pre-registration on the part of the recipient immediately following the deadline. Please send a short request indicating your accepted paper and panel title and the details requested above to section chair Kurt Mills at kurt.mills@glasgow.ac.uk by 5 October 2010.
