Each year the International Studies Association elects three Non-North American (NNA) members-at-large to our Governing Council for a two-year term, staggering the terms of office for the six representatives. Non-North American members-at-large are voting members of ISA’s Governing Council, the main decision-making body in areas of policy, programs, finance, and operations. As such, representatives are expected to attend the ISA 2012 and 2013 Governing Council meetings during ISA annual conventions.
We are currently soliciting nominations for the Non-North American members-at-large 2011-2013 term. Nominees must be individual ISA members residing outside of the United States and Canada. Any ISA member may self-nominate or nominate a Non-North American ISA member to serve on the Governing Council. Only Non-North American ISA members may vote in the election. When nominating please determine that the nominee is willing to stand for election and serve if elected.
ISA Headquarters will accept nominations until November 17, 2010. Nominations may be submitted here. Alternatively, nominations may be sent to the ISA-HQ office via e-mail at isa@isanet.org Contact information for both the nominator and the nominee should be included.
The elections will be held December 1 through December 15, 2010. Final voting will be by electronic ballot. Each ISA member outside of the United States and Canada will receive an electronic ballot. The deadline for returning ballots will be December 15, 2010. The results of the election will be posted on our website on or before January 14, 2011.
