CFP: Turkish-ISA

The Turkish-ISA invites papers for the following three panels that it will be sponsoring in the Annual Convention of the International Studies Association at Montreal, Canada, MARCH 16-19, 2011:

1. Turkish Foreign Policy: Visions, Methods, Strategies - Roundtable
2. Turkey-European Union Relations at a Crossroads? On a Troubled Present and an Uncertain Future
3. Turkey in the Muslim World: Ideology and Pragmatism

We are particularly interested in but not limited to the papers on the following questions: Is Turkish foreign policy toward the Muslim world a strategic or an ideological choice? What role can Turkey play between the West and the Muslim world? How does Turkey's increasing role in the Muslim world influence its relations with the US and Europe? What are the domestic sources of Turkish foreign policy toward the Middle East and broader Muslim world? We plan to design a panel that brings diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives together.
