The Feminist Theory and Gender Studies Section annually offers an award for the best feminist theory and/or gender studies graduate student paper presented at the last ISA meetings. The award carries a stipend of $100 and comes with a peer-review by the International Feminist Journal of Politics with a prospect for publication. We currently accept nominations for the best paper presented at the 2010 ISA conference in New Orleans.
Nominations may be made by anyone in the profession. We encourage in particular discussants and chairs on FTGS panels to let us know about outstanding papers you encountered. Self-nominations are also welcome. The person nominated must have been a student at the time the paper was presented.
Nominations should include contact information of the nominee and, in the case of self-nominations, also a copy of the relevant paper. They should be submitted to the chair of the Award Committee at Elisabeth.Pruegl@graduateinstitute.ch by July 1, 2010. Results of the competition will be announced in early September 2010. For more information, please see the award website.
