The organizers invite you to the 5th International Conference on Adolescent Girls to be held April 26-28, 2010, at The New School, New York City. The aim of the conference is to inform thinking and practices around key issues and trends related to adolescent girls and emerging global challenges. It will offer a space for sharing innovative research and evidence on policies and programs that view adolescent girls as central to strategies to meet the challenges of demographic transition, economic crises, climate change, and technology and innovations, highlighting risks, but focusing on opportunities. Mr. Nicholas Kristof, New York Times columnist and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, author of the bestselling book, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, CRC Expert Ms. Marta Mauras and Ms. Mary Robinson, first female president of Ireland and former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (via video) will be Keynote Speakers.
