CfA: Analytic Best Practices Conference

The organizers invite attendance at a summer conference in Ireland on Analytic Best Practices, sponsored by Mercyhurst College ’s Department of Intelligence Studies. The conference, to be held 11-13 July 2010, will explore the nature of intelligence analysis and its application in various disciplines, building bridges between analytic practitioners and scholars within those disciplines, and exploring best practices in terms of teaching analytic methodologies. Intended takeaways for attendees include a deeper and broader appreciation of the value of different analytic methods which can be borrowed as “best practices” from other disciplines, as well as instruction on the application of at least two of them. With speakers include the Honorable Tom Ridge, Mark Lowenthal, and Jim Poole, and partners including the Global Futures Forum, it should prove to be a very interesting conference.
