CfP: Reform and Modernisation of the State in Latin America

The Society of Latin American Studies invites paper proposals for a panel at their 2010 Conference, which will take place on 9-10 April at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. The panel on Between politics and policies: Reform and Modernisation of the State aims to discuss ideas about the relationship between political authority and institutionalisation in relation to processes of reform and modernisation of the State. Brief abstracts (250-300 words) in English, Spanish or Portuguese should be sent to Jenny K Rodriguez at jenny.rodriguez@strath.ac.uk<mailto:jenny.rodriguez@strath.ac.uk>. The deadline for abstract submissions is 15 January 2010.
