The 9th Annual Hawaii International Conference on Social Sciences will be held from June 2 (Wednesday) to June 5 (Saturday), 2010 at the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii. The conference will provide many opportunities for academicians and professionals from social sciences related fields to interact with members inside and outside their own particular disciplines. ISA is soliciting nominations for the Non-North American members-at-large for the 2010-2011 term. Each year the International Studies Association elects three Non-North American members-at-large to our Governing Council for a two-year term, staggering the terms of office for the six representatives. Any ISA member may nominate a Non-North American ISA member to serve on the Governing Council; however, only Non-North American ISA members may vote in the election. Nominees must be individual ISA members residing outside of the United States and Canada. When nominating please determine that the nominee is willing to stand for election and serve if elected. Representatives are required to attend the ISA 2011-2012 Governing Council Meetings during the Annual Conventions. Please solicit nominees, or nominate yourself, for these three members-at-large positions. Contact information for both the nominator and the nominee should be included. Nominations may be made here. ISA Headquarters will accept nominations until November 16, 2009

The James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) is seeking candidates to fill the position of Director, International Organizations and Nonproliferation Program (IONP). The director develops projects & initiatives on int'l organizations & nonproliferation regimes, including policy research & publications, diplomatic initiatives, outreach, teaching, fund-raising, & project management. Previous experience in government, international organizations, and/or non-government institutions engaged in multilateral nonproliferation analysis and policy formulation is desirable. Position is open until filled. Priority Deadline: October 30, 2009. Required Documents: cover letter, resume, writing sample of at least five pages and a list of 3 references.
